On July 7th 2019, during the 43rd UNESCO General Assembly, held in Azerbaijan, the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene were recognized as a World Heritage. From the first moment in which this territory embarked on the application process, several debates about this matter have emerged, leading to the creation of the slogan "the UNESCO paradox". Environmentalists, local committees and other associations have been fighting against this nomination for years now, which they consider inappropriate and a future cause of further environmental problems. What worries them most is the adoption of wine-growing practices that do not promote the growth of the territory and are far from the biological world. In fact, this research aims to analyze the impact of the UNESCO list in terms of territorial development of a vineyard landscape. The goal is to evaluate whether being considered a world heritage can be an instrument for the preservation of the territory, examining what this recognition entails. The analysis will be developed from numerous points of view and on the basis of the three pillars of sustainable growth, namely the economic, environmental and social impact.

Abstract
The analysis will be developed from numerous points of view and on the basis of the three pillars of sustainable growth, namely the economic, environmental and social impact.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
