To analyze the main effects which occur in a country following the introduction by law of a minimum wage is the aim of this thesis. In particular the aim is to verify the different impact of this economic instrument on Developed and Developing Countries, in order to assess whether this distinction is relevant or not. As Developing Countries are more backward and needy, the dominant idea is that they have greater need for a legal minimum wage and that the latter is more effective in such contexts. In order to confirm or disprove this belief, I report the results of several surveys and research conducted with reference to specific countries taken as a point of reference, because of the similarities between them and the peculiarities that distinguish them.

Abstract
To analyze the main effects which occur in a country following the introduction by law of a minimum wage is the aim of this thesis. In particular the aim is to verify the different impact of this economic instrument on Developed and Developing Countries, in order to assess whether this distinction is relevant or not. As Developing Countries are more backward and needy, the dominant idea is that they have greater need for a legal minimum wage and that the latter is more effective in such contexts. In order to confirm or disprove this belief, I report the results of several surveys and research conducted with reference to specific countries taken as a point of reference, because of the similarities between them and the peculiarities that distinguish them.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
