This thesis aims to analyse the relationship between the most recent AI-based face-recognition technologies and users privacy. At first are given some basic notions about the technologies involved in this work and subsequently an overview about the legal environment in which these technologies find themselves, including the recent AI Act. Then, the central part of the thesis unfolds and the aforementioned relationship is further analysed. Lastly are given future perspectives about the matter.
Questa tesi si propone di analizzare il rapporto tra le più recenti tecnologie di riconoscimento facciale basate sull'Intelligenza Artificiale e la privacy degli utenti. Vengono innanzitutto date nozioni base circa le tecnologie oggetto di discussione, mentre successivamente viene fornita una panoramica sulla legge in materia, includendo il recente AI Act. Di seguito, nella parte centrale della tesi si discute più approfonditamente l'argomento che da' il nome alla tesi. Infine si conclude offrendo una panoramica circa le prospettive future della vicenda.
