During the experiments carried out starting from an imidazole proligand with a four-carbon chain ending with a protected thiol group, the free thiol proligand was obtained. From the latter, the dimerization of the molecule was obtained through oxidation with the formation of a disulfide bridge. The synthesis of the actual gold(I) complex was attempted through a metalation reaction which took place both on the thiol starting molecule and on the oxidized derivative. Finally, through a reduction of the oxidized complex, an attempt was made to obtain the thiol gold complex. The synthesized molecules were also characterized via NMR spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy.
Durante gli esperimenti svolti partendo da un prolegante imidazolico con una catena di quattro carboni terminante con un gruppo tiolico protetto, si è ottenuto il prolegante tiolico libero. Da quest'ultimo si è ottenuta, tramite ossidazione, la dimerizzazione della molecola con formazione di un ponte disolfuro. Si è tentata la sintesi del vero e proprio complesso di oro(I) attraverso reazione di metallazione che si è operata sia sulla molecola di partenza tiolica sia sul derivato ossidato. Infine tramite una riduzione del complesso ossidato, si tentato di ottenere il complesso di oro tiolico. Le molecole sintetizzate sono state anche caratterizzate via spettroscopia NMR e spettroscopia di massa.
