Nowadays lithium batteries are becoming very utilized power sources for lots of electronic devices but also industrial apparatuses like forklifts, scissor lifts and tugs. It is therefore necessary to develop high performance battery chargers to optimize the charging process, mostly in terms of time and efficiency. The purpose of this work is to study, analyze and develop a proper DC/DC converter for an industrial lithium battery charger focusing on efficiency aspects. The choices regarding the topology, the design procedure and the power losses optimization are discussed in this research work. The cost of the device is also another aspect taken into consideration and highlighted. Finally, results of the fully built device are shown, highlighting the good and bad aspects. Then some considerations are made regarding possibilities to improve performances and limitations of the design choices done.

Abstract
Then some considerations are made regarding possibilities to improve performances and limitations of the design choices done.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
