This thesis introduces an educational tool designed for children aged 8 to 12 to enhance their museum experience, focusing on the Scrovegni Chapel in Padova, Italy. The tool consists of a game-based app and NFC-tagged cards, aiming to engage young visitors in art and history exploration. Through interactive gameplay, players learn about frescoes by Giotto before encountering them in person, deepening their appreciation and understanding. The game involves identifying fresco details using NFC-tagged cards, earning points and rewards for participation. While similar technology has been used in museums like the Louvre and British Museum, this project aims to offer a fresh approach by combining technology with traditional exhibits to create a stronger connection between young visitors and museum history.
