Guerrilla Girls

The thesis focuses on a group of anonymous artists and activists known as the Guerrilla Girls. The thesis summarizes their journey, starting from the origins with the creation of the group up to today. A journey that develops through their books, so as to fully understand the ideals that will be the basis of their works, mainly manifestos. An art that starts from the need: to fight for gender equality in the art world, for LGBTQ+ rights and for racial discrimination.

La tesi è incentrata su un gruppo di artiste e attiviste anonime conosciute come Guerrilla Girls. La tesi riassume il loro percorso, partendo dalle origini con la creazione del gruppo fino ad oggi. Un viaggio che si sviluppa attraverso i loro libri, così da conoscere a fondo gli ideali che saranno alla base delle loro opere, principalmente manifesti. Un arte che parte dall'esigenza: combattere per l'uguaglianza di genere nel mondo dell'arte, per i diritti LGBTQ+ e per le discriminazioni razziali.
