This paper attempts to investigate and analyze the evolution of Korean Women's performance in public and private arenas, from 'New Women' to the infamous '4B Feminism'. Given the decline in birth rates and marriages, the objective of this work is to discover the underlying cultural, social, and political factors that led to this occurrence. Following the growth of women's activism within Nationalism and Confucianism frameworks, this research explores the key phases of Korean women's movements' history in order to explain and discuss the positive advancements and criticisms of Korean Feminism. Finally, the study focuses on the rising discourse on sexual violence and cyber-harassment, which are facilitated by the diffusion rampant misogyny in the society and polarisation of the cyberspace.
Questo lavoro propone di indagare e analizzare l'evoluzione delle performance delle donne coreane nelle arene pubbliche e private, dalle 'Nuove Donne' al famigerato 'Femminismo 4B'. A fronte del declino dei tassi di natalità e dei matrimoni, l'obiettivo di questo lavoro è individuare i fattori culturali, sociali e politici che hanno portato a questo fenomeno. Seguendo lo sviluppo dell'attivismo femminile all'interno dei framowork nazionalisti e confuciani, la ricerca esplora le fasi chiave della storia dei movimenti delle donne coreane per spiegare e discutere i progressi e le critiche del femminismo coreano. Infine, lo studio si concentra sul crescente discorso sulla violenza sessuale e sulle molestie informatiche, facilitate dalla diffusione della rampante misoginia nella società e dalla polarizzazione del cyberspace.
