This thesis examines feminist legal theory and its impact on the fight against violence against women. In the first chapter, an overview of feminist legal theory is provided, analyzing its origins, fundamental principles, and the development of the movement. The second chapter is dedicated to defining and analyzing violence against women, exploring its various forms and its cultural and patriarchal roots. In the third chapter, the thesis investigates how feminist legal theory has influenced the fight against violence against women through its critical reflections. It presents the most important feminist critiques in both the Italian and international contexts and traces the evolution of the recognition of violence against women as a collective issue in these contexts, through key legislative reforms and conventions.
