L’impatto dello stigma e del pregiudizio sulla tossicodipendenza.

Prejudices and social stigmatization have a significant impact on the rehabilitation process of individuals with Substance Use Disorder (SUD). This paper delves into the influence that such prejudices exert on individuals striving to break free from drug and other substance addiction, and who are working towards reintegrating into society. The thesis is divided into three chapters, wherein key concepts related to the topic are defined and explored in depth. In particular, there is an analysis of the educational relationship between educator and user within recovery communities. Finally, in the last part of the paper, the results of interviews conducted at a social reintegration community for drug addicts in the province of Belluno are presented, which explore the complex relationship between drug addiction and employment.

I pregiudizi e le stigmatizzazioni sociali hanno un impatto significativo sul percorso riabilitativo di soggetti con Disturbo da uso di sostanze (DUS). Il presente elaborato offre un approfondimento sull’influenza che tali pregiudizi esercitano sugli individui che cercano di uscire dal tunnel della dipendenza da droghe e altre sostanze stupefacenti e perseguono l’obiettivo di riuscire a integrarsi nel contesto sociale. La tesi è articolata in tre capitoli, nei quali vengono definiti e approfonditi concetti chiave legati al tema. In particolare, vi è un’analisi della relazione educativa tra educatore e utente all’interno delle comunità di recupero. In conclusione, nell’ultima parte dell’elaborato, vengono presentati i risultati delle interviste svolte presso una comunità di reinserimento sociale per tossicodipendenti nella provincia di Belluno, che esplorano il complesso rapporto tra tossicodipendenza e lavoro.
