This thesis explores the relationship between privacy and design, especially focusing on the analysis of privacy policies on websites and their impact on the behaviour of average users. More specifically, this research examines how privacy policies are structured and presented to users and how they influence their decisions and perceptions about the security of their personal data. By comparing different privacy policy models, the aim is to highlight their clarity, ambiguity and persuasive techniques: indeed, complexity or lack of transparency often influences users' behaviour, including their trust in websites and willingness to share personal information. The results of this analysis highlight some necessary interventions and offer useful pointers for developing more effective design practices aimed at providing greater protection to online users.

Abstract
This thesis explores the relationship between privacy and design, especially focusing on the analysis of privacy policies on websites and their impact on the behaviour of average users. More specifically, this research examines how privacy policies are structured and presented to users and how they influence their decisions and perceptions about the security of their personal data. By comparing different privacy policy models, the aim is to highlight their clarity, ambiguity and persuasive techniques: indeed, complexity or lack of transparency often influences users' behaviour, including their trust in websites and willingness to share personal information. The results of this analysis highlight some necessary interventions and offer useful pointers for developing more effective design practices aimed at providing greater protection to online users.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
