The Positive Impact of Online Resources Abstract: Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a psychological condition characterized by excessive concerns about perceived physical defects, accompanied by significant emotional distress and impaired social functioning. This thesis aims to examine the role of internet usage in the context of BDD, focusing on the analysis of the positive impact of online resources in supporting and treating symptoms related to the disorder. Through a review of the literature and analysis of empirical studies, the various ways in which online resources, such as support forums, self-help groups, and educational materials, can provide psychological support, useful information, and coping strategies to individuals with BDD will be explored. Additionally, the effectiveness of such resources in improving psychological well-being, reducing levels of anxiety and depression associated with the disorder, and promoting better social adaptation will be evaluated. The content of this thesis could provide important insights for the development of internet-based psychological interventions aimed at improving the treatment and management of BDD, expanding the available therapeutic options, and enhancing the quality of life of patients affected by this condition.
