Nanostructured catalysts based on palladium supported on sulfonated poly-divinilbenzene and inorganic materials have been studied for the production of hydrogen peroxide under semi-batch conditions. Catalytic tests are performed under continuous oxygen flow and UV irradiation in order to produce hydrogen in situ from the photoreforming of methanol, the solvent of reaction, and radical species on the surface of the polymer support. In this project the effects of the support, of the palladium nanoparticles and of the reaction conditions on production of both hydrogen (from the photoreforming process) and of hydrogen peroxide have been investigated. Moreover, the formation of radical species on the surface of the polymeric surface has been investigated to evaluate their possible role in the formation of H2O2.

Abstract
Moreover, the formation of radical species on the surface of the polymeric surface has been investigated to evaluate their possible role in the formation of H2O2.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
