Utilizzo del framework Ruby On Rails e della metodologia Agile per la creazione di un sito web. Esperienza di stage presso Uqido.

The content of this bachelor degree thesis, based upon the internship experience carried out at Uqido s.r.l. focuses on the analysis of some web development tools and the Agile methodology for managing IT projects. Specifically with web development, the Ruby on Rails framework is exposed, which has been used to create an online portal for data consultation on behalf of the University of Padua, in particular for the Padova Neuroscience Center, which joined in June 2024 the European EBRAINS consortium, which collects data, tools, infrastructure and people across our continent to advance neuroscientific and brain health research. The area of intervention assesed to me by Uqido was to take care of the first part of the construction of the site, which included the drafting of the E/R scheme of the portal’s database, manage the relationship with the customer to agree on some implementation details of the platform in question and the development of the first parts of it. Due to the number of hours that the internship involved, it was not possible for me to be present at the delivery of the finished product to the customer, given that according to agreements previously made between Uqido and UNIPD this moment would have been a few months after the end of my experience in the company.

Il contenuto di questa tesi di laurea triennale basata sull’esperienza di tirocinio effettuata presso Uqido s.r.l. si concentra sull’analisi di alcuni strumenti di sviluppo web e la metodologia Agile per la gestione di progetti informatici. In particolare per quanto riguarda lo sviluppo web, viene esposto il framework Ruby on Rails, il quale è stato usato per creare un portale online di consultazione di dati per conto dell’Università di Padova, in particolare per il Padova Neuroscience Center, entrato da giugno 2024 nel consorzio europeo EBRAINS, che si occupa di raccogliere dati, strumenti, infrastrutture e persone in tutto il nostro continente per portare avanti la ricerca neuroscientifica e sulla salute del cervello. L’ambito di intervento che mi è stato affidato da Uqido è stato curare la prima parte della costruzione del sito, che ha incluso la redazione dello schema E/R del database del portale, il rapporto con il cliente per convenire su alcuni dettagli implementativi della piattaforma in causa e lo sviluppo della prima parte della stessa. A causa del numero di ore che lo stage prevedeva, non è stato possibile assistere alla consegna del prodotto finito al cliente, dato che da accordi presi in precedenza tra Uqido e UNIPD tale momento sarebbe stato alcuni mesi dopo il termine della mia esperienza in azienda.
