Valvulopatie cardiache: cause, sintomi, diagnosi e soluzioni.

Heart valves are structures located inside the heart which ensure regular blood circulation. Although these components are completely passive, their eventual impairment, really sneaky sometimes, leads to a multitude of consequences that can vary within a very broad spectrum in terms of severity, incidence and symptomatology. With this thesis we therefore want to systematically study these critical issues in order to provide a well-detailed framework that covers all these aspects as well as a general overview of the factors that cause valvulopathies and the techniques adopted to cure or treat them.

Le valvole cardiache sono delle strutture situate all'interno del cuore che hanno il compito di garantire la regolarità della circolazione sanguigna. Sebbene queste componenti siano completamente passive, una loro compromissione, talvolta subdola, porta a una moltitudine di conseguenze che possono variare all'interno di uno spettro molto ampio in termini di gravità, incidenza e sintomatologia. Con questa tesi si vuole quindi andare a studiare in modo sistematico tali criticità al fine di fornire un quadro ben dettagliato che ricopra tutti questi aspetti oltre a un panorama generale sui fattori che le causano e le tecniche per risolverle.
