This bachelor's thesis focuses on the analysis of reinforcement systems for masonry walls, exploring various technologies and methodologies used to enhance their structural strength. Through a critical review of existing literature, several commonly used approaches were examined: composite material systems, metallic reinforcements, and innovative solutions such as fiberglass or carbon fiber fabrics. Subsequently, mathematical formulations were developed to predict the strength values of reinforced walls. To this end, experimental tests from external research were used, providing essential data for the validation of the proposed models. The developed formulations aim to provide reliable calculation tools for engineers and professionals in the field, facilitating the design of consolidation interventions by evaluating the achievable strength values. The results aim to provide insights into how different reinforcement techniques can significantly influence the structural performance of masonry walls, highlighting the importance of a careful selection of the reinforcement system based on specific design requirements.
La presente tesi di laurea triennale si concentra sull'analisi dei sistemi di rinforzo per pareti in muratura, esplorando le varie tecnologie e metodologie utilizzate per migliorarne la resistenza strutturale. Attraverso una revisione critica della letteratura esistente, sono stati esaminati diversi approcci principalmente utilizzati: sistemi di materiali compositi, rinforzi metallici e soluzioni innovative come i tessuti in fibra di vetro o carbonio. In seguito si è sviluppata una derivazione di formulazioni matematiche atte a prevedere i valori di resistenza delle pareti rinforzate. A tal fine, sono state utilizzate prove sperimentali ottenute da ricerche esterne, che hanno fornito dati fondamentali per la validazione dei modelli proposti. Le formulazioni sviluppate mirano a fornire strumenti di calcolo affidabili per ingegneri e professionisti del settore, per facilitare la progettazione di interventi di consolidamento, valutando i valori di resistenze ottenibili. I risultati puntano a ottenere informazioni su come le diverse tecniche di rinforzo possano influenzare significativamente le prestazioni strutturali delle pareti in muratura, evidenziando l'importanza di una scelta accurata del sistema di rinforzo in base alle specifiche esigenze progettuali.
