To prevent clinical errors by healthcare professionals, knowledge and training of technical skills are sometimes not sufficient. In an environment with a high level of stress and rapid evolution such as that of emergency-urgency, adaptation skills, social, cognitive and perceptive skills or leadership ability play a fundamental role; these aptitudes are defined in the literature as "Non Technical Skills". The objectives of this review are: 1. Research data on the non-technical skills of Italian healthcare personnel in different clinical fields and different degrees of professional experience; 2. Analyze the literature in search of reproducible methods to implement Non Technical Skills in healthcare personnel, verify their necessity and possibly their effectiveness.
Per prevenire gli errori clinici del professionista sanitario, la conoscenza ed il training delle capacità tecniche a volte non sono sufficienti. In un ambiente ad elevato margine di stress e a rapida evoluzione come quello dell’emergenza-urgenza, le capacità di adattamento, le abilità sociali, cognitive e percettive o la capacità di leadership hanno un ruolo fondamentale; tali attitudini vengono definite dalla letteratura come “Non Technical Skills”. Gli obiettivi di questa revisione sono: 1. Ricercare dati sulle competenze non tecniche del personale sanitario italiano in diversi ambiti clinici e differenti gradi di esperienza professionale; 2. Analizzare la letteratura alla ricerca di metodi riproducibili per implementare le Non Technical Skills nel personale sanitario, verificarne la necessità ed eventualmente l’efficacia.
