A che gioco giochiamo? Come riprendere in mano oggi i giochi di ieri grazie a momenti di outdoor education

The following essay proposes an accurate analysis of the game and its theory: focusing in particular on the games of the past (mainly handmade, with simple and recycled materials or with natural materials and played mainly outdoors) we will arrive at proposing some educational games that suggest a new use for future young generations. Going into specifics, the first chapter is dedicated to a historical excursus on the game, from its dawn to the present day; the second chapter deals with the topic of outdoor education (also reporting a questionnaire for teachers, carried out as research work with four other students during our studies) and the importance of the territory, the environment and local traditions in intellectual and emotional development of children; finally, a last chapter reviews some of the most emblematic games of the past: some technical and educational forms have been developed which can act as a guide for all those teachers who wish to re-appropriate the games of the past for recreational and educational purposes.

Il seguente elaborato propone un’accurata analisi del gioco e della sua teoria: soffermandosi in particolar modo nei giochi di un tempo (principalmente fatti a mano, con materiali semplici e di riciclo oppure con materie naturali e svolti in prevalenza all’aperto) si giungerà ad una rivisitazione di questi ultimi, proponendo alcune schede didattiche che ne suggeriscono un utilizzo “nuovo” e stimolante per le future giovani generazioni. Entrando nello specifico, il primo capitolo è dedicato ad un excursus storico sul gioco, dagli albori fino ai giorni nostri; il secondo capitolo tratta la tematica dell’outdoor education (riportando anche un questionario rivolto ad insegnanti, svolto come lavoro di ricerca con altre quattro studentesse durante il nostro percorso di studi) e dell’importanza del territorio, dell’ambiente e delle tradizioni locali nello sviluppo intellettivo ed emotivo dei bambini; infine, un ultimo capitolo, passa in rassegna alcuni tra i più emblematici giochi di una volta: sono state elaborate alcune schede tecniche e didattiche che potranno fungere da guida per tutti quegli insegnanti che desidereranno riappropriarsi dei giochi di un tempo per scopi ludici e formativi.
