Sexuality and affectivity are extremely important dimensions in each person's development. During adolescence, each person faces usual age-related developmental tasks that enable him or her to extend skills and competencies useful for inhabiting society. In particular, this paper aims to explore the meaning of gender identity and how it comes to be defined in social interactions. Those individual and contextual factors that determine in adolescent girls with depression needs and difficulties in interpersonal relationships are considered. For these reasons, sexuality-affectivity education turns out to be fundamental in that it takes the form of a teaching and learning process aimed at equipping children and young people with knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that enable them to develop a good state of well-being, positive social and sexual relationships, to mature a respectful and dignified attitude toward self and others as well as to understand and take into account the rights of each person.
La sessualità e l’affettività sono dimensioni estremamente importanti nello sviluppo di ciascuna persona. Durante l’adolescenza, ogni persona affronta consueti compiti di sviluppo legati all’età che gli consentono di estendere capacità e competenze utili ad abitare la società. In particolare, questo elaborato si propone di esplorare il significato di identità di genere e come essa viene a definirsi nelle interazioni sociali. Vengono presi in considerazione quei fattori individuali e contestuali che determinano nelle adolescenti con depressione bisogni e difficoltà nei rapporti interpersonali. Per questi motivi, l’educazione alla sessualità-affettività risulta essere fondamentale in quanto si configura come processo di insegnamento e apprendimento volto a dotare bambini e giovani di conoscenze, competenze, atteggiamenti e valori che consentano agli stessi di sviluppare un buono stato di benessere, relazioni sociali e sessuali positive, di maturare un atteggiamento rispettoso e dignitoso verso di sé e gli altri oltre che comprendere e tener conto dei diritti di ciascuno.
