The present thesis focuses on the analysis of female figures and their objects in the Grimm Brothers' fairy tales, considering in particular the last edition dated 1857. The research has used the Object-Oriented Criticism methodology, based on the studies of Francesca Rigotti, who, through her "filosofia delle piccole cose", proposes to observe the objects of the domestic world with renewed attention. Within Children's and Young Adult Literature, this concept can be applied through an analysis of books that pays particular attention to the use of objects in stories. Specifically the research has focused on the study of pointed objects, revealing that they are mostly associated with the antagonists of the stories. So these figures have been analyzed from a different perspective, revealing more complex and nuanced aspects of their character. This reinterpretation has brought to light their multidimensionality, their vulnerabilities, and the motivations behind their actions, often overlooked by common opinion. The research has showed how the interaction of these figures with pointed objects can reveal their psychological and narrative depth.

Abstract
The research has showed how the interaction of these figures with pointed objects can reveal their psychological and narrative depth.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
