The purpose of the work is to build a CFD model of hydrodynamic cavitation. Considerations about the compressibility of the vapour phase are conducted, and a function describing the equation of state of the phase is created. The function is added to the model in order to describe in a more realistic way the cavitation phenomena. A numerical simulation is performed and the results are validated with the ones founded in literature.
