In my thesis work I’ve carried out a study about the production system and the production times of a power transformers manufacturing company: GBE S.p.A. First of all I described some product characteristics to help the reader to understand the following topics of the study. Defined some theoretical notions regarding the study of industrial processes, I linked them to the real case to get a faithful image of the company situation. The core topic of the discussion is the study of the value stream, done by using two lean management methods: the Value Stream Mapping and the Yamazumi chart. I divided the production process in different phases and I noted the production times for each one. By that, I identified the critical phase to study it specifically and find any waste of times. After that, I showed how the company tried to reduce them and limit their impact. Finally, I compared the current state with the initial situation and defined how it will be in the future, when the new machine will be working.
Nel mio lavoro di tesi ho svolto uno studio sul sistema produttivo e sui tempi di produzione di un'azienda produttrice di trasformatori di potenza: GBE S.p.A. Innanzitutto ho descritto alcune caratteristiche del prodotto per aiutare il lettore a comprendere i seguenti argomenti dello studio. Definite alcune nozioni teoriche riguardanti lo studio dei processi industriali, le ho collegate al caso reale per avere un'immagine fedele della situazione aziendale. Il tema centrale della discussione è lo studio del flusso del valore, effettuato utilizzando due metodi della gestione snella: la Value Stream Mapping e lo Yamazumi Chart. Ho diviso il processo produttivo in diverse fasi e per ognuna ho annotato i tempi di produzione. In questo modo ho individuato la fase critica per studiarla specificatamente e individuare eventuali sprechi di tempo. Successivamente ho mostrato come l’azienda ha cercato di ridurli e limitarne l’impatto. Infine ho confrontato lo stato attuale con la situazione iniziale e definito come sarà in futuro, quando la nuova macchina entrerà in funzione.
