This paper aims at highlighting the important presence of the Counts of Treviso in the Marca Trevigiana during the Late Middle Ages. The first chapters are dedicated to the analysis of some historical sites, considered representative of the comital power in the territory between Piave and Livenza. Firstly, the castle of Collalto is analysed from its foundation up to the project to restore the castle keep, planned for the coming years. Next, an analysis is proposed of the castle of San Salvatore, the ancient manor that has towered over the hills of Susegana for centuries and continues to attract many tourists and visitors throughout the year; this is also considering its inclusion within the Prosecco Hills area, a Unesco heritage site from 2019. Finally, the abbey of Sant'Eustachio is proposed, recently restored to its ancient splendour. It highlights the important presence of Monasticism in the Marca. A final in-depth study is aimed at highlighting the characteristics of the phenomenon of tourism within the Marca Trevigiana, particularly focusing on the specific area of the ‘Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene’.
