In the study of the various aspects of Spanish as a second language, the concept of linguistic variation is always present: when a language is influenced by different geographical, socio-cultural, contextual or historical factors. This thesis project essentially aims to investigate diatopic variation, i.e. the use of Spanish in different geographical areas, and to focus on the linguistic prejudices that can be found. This dissertation also tries to analyse the cultural and social reasons that produce these differences, highlighting the importance of the methodology of interviews carried out among 6 Spanish speakers, coming from different areas of Latin America and Spain, as a tool for data collection.

Abstract
In the study of the various aspects of Spanish as a second language, the concept of linguistic variation is always present: when a language is influenced by different geographical, socio-cultural, contextual or historical factors. This thesis project essentially aims to investigate diatopic variation, i.e. the use of Spanish in different geographical areas, and to focus on the linguistic prejudices that can be found. This dissertation also tries to analyse the cultural and social reasons that produce these differences, highlighting the importance of the methodology of interviews carried out among 6 Spanish speakers, coming from different areas of Latin America and Spain, as a tool for data collection.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
