This thesis explores the link between mindfulness, dereification and prosocial behaviors. It analyzed how the practice of mindfulness can influence the perception of self and others and promoting an attitude of openness and empathy. Through a literature review and study, we investigate how mindfulness promotes dereification: the ability to perceive thoughts, feelings and perceptions as mental processes rather than as accurate representations of reality. The results suggest that increased awareness associated with mindfulness or other meditative techniques can promote a set of psychic processes that may increase prosocial behavior propensity, Contributing to greater social connection and improved collective well-being. The thesis concludes by highlighting the importance of integrating mindfulness practices into one’s daily life, to promote a culture of empathy and solidarity.

Abstract
This thesis explores the link between mindfulness, dereification and prosocial behaviors. It analyzed how the practice of mindfulness can influence the perception of self and others and promoting an attitude of openness and empathy. The results suggest that increased awareness associated with mindfulness or other meditative techniques can promote a set of psychic processes that may increase prosocial behavior propensity, Contributing to greater social connection and improved collective well-being. The thesis concludes by highlighting the importance of integrating mindfulness practices into one’s daily life, to promote a culture of empathy and solidarity.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
