The objective of this thesis is to explore the synergies between Lean Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence (AI), two methodologies that originated in different contexts, but together can optimise business processes. Through an analysis of the scientific literature, the thesis aims to assess how the integration of AI with Lean Manufacturing can overcome traditional operational limitations, improving flexibility, efficiency and reducing costs. AI techniques such as machine learning and neural networks enable companies to adapt more quickly to market changes and sustainability requirements.
L'obiettivo di questa tesi è esplorare le sinergie tra Lean Manufacturing e Intelligenza Artificiale (AI), due metodologie nate in contesti diversi, ma che insieme possono ottimizzare i processi aziendali. Attraverso un'analisi della letteratura scientifica, la tesi si propone di valutare come l'integrazione dell'AI con il Lean Manufacturing possa superare i limiti operativi tradizionali, migliorando flessibilità, efficienza e riducendo costi. Le tecniche di AI come machine learning e reti neurali permettono alle aziende di adattarsi più rapidamente alle variazioni del mercato e alle esigenze di sostenibilità.
