The chosen topic revolves around grief during adolescence, with a specific focus on the psychological impacts and the role of social and family support in the process of coping with loss. The objectives of this work are aimed at understanding how adolescents face the loss of a loved one and which resources are most effective in fostering a healthy grief process. The study begins with an analysis of the characteristics of grief in adolescence and the factors that differentiate it from grief experienced in other stages of life, then exploring the influence of social and family relationships during this delicate period. The research, conducted through a methodology involving an in-depth bibliographic review and the study of scientific sources, is divided into four sections. The first part introduces the topic of grief in adolescence, providing an overview of the main theories and definitions. The second section explores the psychological impact of grief on adolescents, with particular attention to the emotional and behavioral consequences. Small interviews with individuals who experienced loss during adolescence are also included, with the aim of gaining deeper insight into their personal experiences. The third section examines the role of social and family support in the grief process, highlighting the importance of support networks for an adequate healing process. Finally, the last section focuses on the support tools and therapeutic interventions that can be adopted to help adolescents cope with the pain of loss, with a reflection on future research and intervention perspectives.
