Background: The term “Anxiety” represents the set of cognitive, behavioral and physiological reactions that occur in response to stimuli that are considered threatening to the person or to stimuli to which one does not feel capable of reacting. Anxiety is considered a positive factor, indeed indispensable, because it has had and still has an important role in the survival of the animal and human species. It is a normal emotion, which everyone experiences sooner or later in their lives and which, within certain limits, is extremely useful. In the healthcare environment, the nurse is the one who is in close contact with the patient throughout the entire process, therefore has a very important role in helping to manage the emotions that overwhelm the person. However, anxiety does not only affect the patients but also the nurses themselves, especially during their study path. The literature reports that students attending the "Nursing Degree Course" are able to develop and use strategies for managing anxiety dictated by multiple situations, both in study and internship, that they have to face. Objective: The study aims to identify, through the administration of a questionnaire constructed and validated in Italian, and analyze the level of anxiety perceived by students attending the "Nursing Degree Course" at the Treviso branch of the University of Padua and what strategies they implement to manage it. Materials and methods: The research was carried out using the PICO method on the PubMed platform. Data collection took place through the administration of a computerized questionnaire based on the Zung W.W.K. self-assessment anxiety scale. Data analysis is a quantitative analysis of the responses relating to the perceived levels of anxiety and the strategies used by the selected sample. Qualitative analysis of the themes emerging from the open questions through the use of the LONG TABLE ANALISYS method. Results: From the data obtained from the administration of the questionnaire, it can be deduced that Nursing students at the Treviso campus are able to implement valid anxiety management strategies, such as expressing their emotions, self-criticism and solving problems, to be able to manage the anxiety levels they experience on a daily basis. The fact of being able to manage one's emotions increases the effectiveness of nursing care and clinical practices, favoring communication and relationships between professionals, patients and the entire team.
