The paper deals with the experimental results obtained regarding the surface finish and corrosion resistance of AlSi9Cu3(Fe) samples, obtained through an additive process and subjected to different heat treatments. For each of the available samples, defined as AB (as-built), T5 and T6 (subjected to the respective heat treatments), the roughness parameters Sa, Ssk, Spk and Svk were evaluated before and after lathe processing and before and after the corrosion test in a 3.5% NaCl saline solution. From the corrosion test, the values of corrosion potential and corrosion current before and after processing were obtained. From the data obtained it was demonstrated that the heat treatments positively influence the workability of the material, while on the corrosion resistance a univocal result was not reached since different heat treatments affect the microstructure of the alloy in different ways.

Abstract
From the data obtained it was demonstrated that the heat treatments positively influence the workability of the material, while on the corrosion resistance a univocal result was not reached since different heat treatments affect the microstructure of the alloy in different ways.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
