Composite materials, their classification with special attention to those used in aeronautics, are presented. The main mathematical models for estimating the mechanical properties of fiber composites from the properties of the constituents are introduced. Finally, an overview is given of the use of composites, especially fibrous on polymer matrix, in major passenger aircraft. Finally, a look is given at future trends in the use of composites in aeronautics by referring to recent research.
Si presentano i materiali compositi, la loro classificazione con attenzione particolare per quelli usati in aeronautica. Si introducono i principali modelli matematici per stimare le proprietà meccaniche dei compositi in fibra a partire dalle proprietà dei costituenti. Si fa infine una panoramica dell'impiego dei compositi, soprattutto fibrosi su matrice polimerica, nei principali aerei per trasporto passeggeri. Infine si fornisce uno sguardo alle tendenze future nell'impiego dei compositi in aeronautica facendo riferimento a ricerche recenti.
