"La miseria di tutti i Greci": Taso fra Archiloco e realtà storica

The objective of the thesis is to use the literary production of Archilochus as a historical source useful for outlining the situation of the island of Thasos in archaic Greece, comparing the aforementioned production with the most relevant archaeological and historical studies which over time have returned a rather different representation of the island compared to the one Archilochus left us.

L'obbiettivo della tesi consiste nell'utilizzare la produzione letteraria di Archiloco come fonte storica utile a delineare la situazione dell'isola di Taso nella Grecia arcaica, mettendo suddetta produzione a confronto con gli studi archeologici e storici più rilevanti che nel tempo hanno restituito una rappresentazione piuttosto diversa dell'isola rispetto a quella che ci ha lasciato Archiloco.
