Desiderio e rivalità. Una lettura girardiana di "Senilità" di Italo Svevo

This thesis focuses on the figure of René Girard, with particular attention to the theory of mimetic desire he elaborated in "Deceit, Desire, and the Novel". In the last chapter, we will also attempt to apply this theory to "Senilità" by Italo Svevo.

Questa tesi si concentra sulla figura di René Girard, con particolare attenzione alla teoria del desiderio mimetico da lui elaborata in "Menzogna romantica e verità romanzesca". Nell'ultimo capitolo, si tenterà inoltre di applicare tale teoria a "Senilità" di Italo Svevo.
