Las aventuras de Amanda Black: análisis de la traducción italiana de "Una herencia peligrosa", thriller infantil de Juan Gómez-Jurado y Bárbara Montes

Over the last few decades, children's and young people's literature has gained increasing prominence as a field of study, alongside the translation of children's literature. Both disciplines are no longer considered inferior or mere educational tools, but they are recognized as authentic literary works. Through books, young readers have the opportunity to discover both familiar and imaginary worlds, to experience adventures and to become passionate about the stories narrated. Moreover, these narratives have the potential to foster an appreciation for values and principles drawn from foreign cultures. This thesis will undertake an analysis of children's literature and its translation. First, I will trace the evolution of the concept of children's and young people's literature, providing a brief overview of its defining characteristics. Secondly, I will scholarly studies and theoretical frameworks related to the translation of children's literature. Finally, I will conduct an in-depth analysis of the Spanish book ‘A Dangerous Inheritance’ by Juan Gómez-Jurado and Bárbara Montes followed by an evaluation of its Italian translation.

A lo largo de las últimas décadas, la literatura infantil y juvenil ha ido adquiriendo mayor centralidad como campo de estudio, acompañada en paralelo por la traducción de literatura infantil. Ambas disciplinas ya no se consideran inferiores o meras herramientas educativas, sino como autentica obras literarias. A través de los libros, los jóvenes lectores tienen la oportunidad de descubrir mundos tanto familiares como imaginarios, vivir aventuras y apasionarse por las historias narradas, con la oportunidad de aprender a apreciar valores y principios, incluso de culturas distintas a la suya. En el presente trabajo, se analizará la literatura infantil y su traducción. En primer lugar, se presentará la evolución del concepto de literatura infantil y juvenil (LIJ) con una breve reseña de sus características. En segundo lugar, se examinarán estudios y análisis teóricos relativos a la traducción de esta infantil. Por último, seguirá un estudio relativo al libro español “Una herencia peligrosa” de Juan Gómez-Jurado y Bárbara Montes, que se profundizará con un análisis de su traducción al italiano.
