Lipopeptaibolics are particular peptides, such as Trichogin GA IV found in cannibal fungi of the genus Tricodherma. Their highly nonspecific membranolytic mechanism of action makes them particularly functional against species capable of implementing adaptation mechanisms, furthermore the presence of non-coded amino acids such as Aib gives them a marked resistance to the enzymatic proteolase. The assumed helical conformation is crucial for their function, emphasis is placed on the ability of Aib to induce this structure, comparing it with promising alternatives lacking the latter. The conformational studies were conducted by circular dichroism.

Abstract
Lipopeptaibolics are particular peptides, such as Trichogin GA IV found in cannibal fungi of the genus Tricodherma. Their highly nonspecific membranolytic mechanism of action makes them particularly functional against species capable of implementing adaptation mechanisms, furthermore the presence of non-coded amino acids such as Aib gives them a marked resistance to the enzymatic proteolase. The assumed helical conformation is crucial for their function, emphasis is placed on the ability of Aib to induce this structure, comparing it with promising alternatives lacking the latter. The conformational studies were conducted by circular dichroism.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
