The aim of this thesis is to analyse and compare the protection of Palestinian refugees in the Middle East and in other areas of the world, particularly Europe and America, to highlight which guarantees they’re given in each region and understand which framework of protection is the most efficient. This thesis is divided into two main parts: the first part comprises a brief history of the question of Palestinian refugees (when it started and how) and an analysis of the international legal framework for the protection of refugees, namely the United Nations system and the 1951 Geneva Convention and its 1967 Protocol, and the specialized agencies, namely UNRWA. The second part deals with the different regional frameworks: the Middle East, Europe and Latin America. For each area, different states will be taken into account (Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Italy and Chile) to analyse how the same legal instruments are adopted and applied in different contexts.

Abstract
For each area, different states will be taken into account (Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Italy and Chile) to analyse how the same legal instruments are adopted and applied in different contexts.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
