Sport is recognized as a fundamental right for every human being, regardless of their physical, social, or cultural characteristics. For people with disabilities, sport represents not only an opportunity for physical and mental well-being but also a powerful tool for social inclusion and the enhancement of individual abilities. However, despite regulatory and cultural progress, numerous barriers persist: architectural and infrastructural barriers, social and cultural barriers, and economic barriers. This can limit access for people with disabilities to the world of sports. This thesis aims to examine the right to sport for people with disabilities by analyzing the existing regulatory framework, the challenges, the barriers, and identifying good practices and innovative solutions to promote inclusion and accessibility.

Abstract
Sport is recognized as a fundamental right for every human being, regardless of their physical, social, or cultural characteristics. For people with disabilities, sport represents not only an opportunity for physical and mental well-being but also a powerful tool for social inclusion and the enhancement of individual abilities. However, despite regulatory and cultural progress, numerous barriers persist: architectural and infrastructural barriers, social and cultural barriers, and economic barriers. This can limit access for people with disabilities to the world of sports. This thesis aims to examine the right to sport for people with disabilities by analyzing the existing regulatory framework, the challenges, the barriers, and identifying good practices and innovative solutions to promote inclusion and accessibility.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
