The luxury market is characterized by consumers who are increasingly attentive not only to product quality but also to the ethical and environmental values represented by brands. Expectations for personalized shopping experiences and a concrete commitment to sustainability compel companies to adopt strategies that combine excellence, transparency, and reduced environmental impact. At the same time, supply chain management in the luxury sector faces significant challenges, such as global market uncertainty and declining demand, requiring hybrid models that blend agility and lean practices to maintain high service standards while reducing costs and waste. This thesis examines the adaptation of industrial practices and supply chain strategies to address these current challenges, ensuring efficient inventory and procurement management without compromising quality and customer care. Specifically, the study focuses on optimizing zipper procurement in a company operating in the luxury leather goods sector, exploring innovative strategies to reduce inventory levels and promote sustainability. Among the hypotheses analyzed, the project that postpones the zipper cutting phase emerges as an optimal solution to ensure greater flexibility and adaptability to market demands. The thesis evaluates whether it is more advantageous to develop this solution internally within the company or outsource it to external suppliers, providing a framework for strategic decision-making that balances operational efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness in the luxury market.

Abstract
The thesis evaluates whether it is more advantageous to develop this solution internally within the company or outsource it to external suppliers, providing a framework for strategic decision-making that balances operational efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness in the luxury market.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
