The thesis is based on the activities carried out during the internship at M31 S.r.l., focused on developing a framework for data security management in IoT networks, aimed at supporting the selection of the best security strategies. The work includes an analysis of the main threats and vulnerabilities in IoT networks, a study of the relevant regulations (NIS 2 and Cyber Resilience Act), and a comparison of existing security protocols, such as TLS, DTLS, and IoT SAFE. To complement the framework, a prototype will be developed to demonstrate secure communication between the cloud and IoT devices, implementing various solutions derived from the decision-making framework.

Abstract
The thesis is based on the activities carried out during the internship at M31 S.r.l., focused on developing a framework for data security management in IoT networks, aimed at supporting the selection of the best security strategies. The work includes an analysis of the main threats and vulnerabilities in IoT networks, a study of the relevant regulations (NIS 2 and Cyber Resilience Act), and a comparison of existing security protocols, such as TLS, DTLS, and IoT SAFE. To complement the framework, a prototype will be developed to demonstrate secure communication between the cloud and IoT devices, implementing various solutions derived from the decision-making framework.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
