Non è mai troppo presto. L’importanza dell’educazione affettivo sessuale nella scuola dell’infanzia e primaria

Sociologist Zygmunt Bauman defines the XXI Century’s society as “liquid”: a modern age in which everything dashes away and the present, in the blink of an eye, becomes past. Kids in this liquid modernity have needs and necessities that should not be allowed to “flow away” and through these, one stands out: the need for a sexual and emotional education. Due to the socio-cultural background in which kids are immerged, this education becomes an essential need since the early age: it promotes self-consciousness and wellness, it prevents future unhealthy behaviours, it promotes gender respect and equality , it develops rational and emotional skills, it allows protection form abuses and violences and it reduces the lack of proper information and the use of unreliable sources. The sexual and emotional education is recognized, for all intents and purposes, as a right. This theses analyses and studies the multiple reasons for which the sexual and emotional education is essential since childhood. Through the analysis of documents, articles and researches what comes to light is the effectiveness of a precocious sexual and emotional education, with close attention to the age of the recipient, which influences the modes and the contents to discuss.

Il sociologo Bauman definisce la società del XXI secolo come "liquida": una modernità in cui tutto scorre veloce e il presente, dopo un solo sguardo, diventa già passato. I bambini della modernità liquida hanno però dei bisogni e delle necessità che non possono essere lasciati "scorrere via" e, tra di essi, spicca quello di ricevere un'educazione affettivo sessuale. Proprio a causa del background socio culturale in cui sono immersi, essa diventa un bisogno imprescindibile fin dall'infanzia: favorisce la conoscenza e il benessere personale, previene comportamenti a rischio in futuro, promuove il rispetto e l’uguaglianza di genere, sviluppa competenze relazionali ed emotive, protegge da abusi e violenze e riduce la disinformazione e il ricorso a fonti inaffidabili. È riconosciuta a tutti gli effetti come un vero e proprio diritto. Questa tesi analizza e approfondisce i molteplici motivi che rendono l'educazione affettivo sessuale imprescindibile fin dalla prima infanzia. Attraverso l'analisi di documenti, articoli e ricerche emerge l'effettiva efficacia di un'educazione affettivo sessuale precoce, pur mantenendo un occhio di riguardo l'età dei destinatari, che influenza la modalità e i contenuti da trattare.
