This thesis aims to analyze how a dominant cultural tradition influences the formation of meanings regarding the theme of death, through a review of the scientific literature. The first chapter addresses the conception of death according to the philosopher Jankélévitch, exploring his definition of the phenomenon and the criticisms that were later directed at his perspective. The second chapter introduces the perspective of social constructionism and, through its underlying assumptions, delves into the concepts of reality and truth, comparing them with those developed by Jankélévitch. Finally, the third chapter analyzes how both Jankélévitch and, more generally, every individual are guided in the construction of meanings by the dominant cultural tradition. The overall objective of this thesis is to investigate the pragmatic effects that the dominant cultural tradition exerts on the construction of meanings related to death.

Abstract
The overall objective of this thesis is to investigate the pragmatic effects that the dominant cultural tradition exerts on the construction of meanings related to death.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
