This paper explores the challenges posed by the contemporary labor market, characterized by increasing instability, flexibility, and precariousness, with a focus on conditions of underemployment and unemployment. The analysis is structured in two chapters: the first outlines the transformations of the occupational market and the concepts of unemployment and underemployment, paying particular attention to the theme of decent work and the structural inequalities that impede access to it. The second chapter delves into the psychological and guidance intervention models that can support individuals in facing the current work scenario. In particular, it analyzes the Life Design paradigm and the Psychology of Working Theory (PWT), focusing on psychological resources such as job readiness, adaptability, hope, optimism, and resilience, also described in relation to the influence of contextual factors. The integration of these approaches proves capable of developing more conscious and meaningful career paths, promoting access to decent work that is consistent with personal aspirations. The paper thus aims to offer a critical and multidimensional reading of occupational vulnerability, highlighting theoretical and practical tools to promote the well-being and self-determination of workers in transition.

Abstract
The paper thus aims to offer a critical and multidimensional reading of occupational vulnerability, highlighting theoretical and practical tools to promote the well-being and self-determination of workers in transition.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
