This thesis explores the effectiveness of different teaching approaches in biodiversity education at the primary school level, comparing traditional methods with active methodologies. The analysis focuses on how these approaches influence students' understanding, representations, and motivation regarding environmental issues. The findings highlight that experiential educational practices promote deeper conceptual understanding, stimulate critical thinking, and enhance engagement in learning. The work offers insights for designing environmentally conscious curricula that prioritize meaningful and participatory teaching methods.
La tesi esplora l’efficacia di diversi approcci didattici nell’educazione alla biodiversità nella scuola primaria, confrontando modalità tradizionali e metodologie attive. L’analisi si concentra sugli effetti che tali approcci hanno sulla comprensione, sulle rappresentazioni e sulla motivazione degli alunni rispetto ai temi ambientali. I risultati evidenziano come le pratiche educative esperienziali favoriscano una maggiore interiorizzazione dei concetti, stimolino il pensiero critico e incentivino l’interesse verso l’apprendimento. L’elaborato propone riflessioni utili per la progettazione di curricoli sensibili alle questioni ecologiche, valorizzando metodologie didattiche coinvolgenti e significative.
