An attempt is made to answer the questions raised by Galluzzo in an article on gender and difference in the Questions on Metaphysics by John Duns Scotus, starting from the analysis of the third book of these; subsequently, an attempt is made to compare Scotus' doctrine with parallel passages in the work of Thomas Aquinas.
