Il ruolo del vocalismo nella formazione del duale nella lingua araba

In this thesis we will analyse a phonological and morphological aspect of the Arabic language. The thesis will be divided into two main parts. The first part will be an introduction to the Arabic alphabet and to the sounds of the language, in particular, there will be a detailed explanation of the Arabic vowels. The Arabic language belongs to the group of Semitic languages; therefore, the alphabet is rich in consonants and poor in vowels. Vowels in Arabic play an essential role in writing and perfect the sound for the pronunciation. The second part will talk about the dual in Arabic, specifically how the vowels can influence the Arabic dual system.

In questo elaborato si analizzerà un aspetto fonologico e morfologico della lingua araba. La tesi sarà divisa in due parti principali. La prima parte sarà un'introduzione all'alfabeto arabo e soprattutto ai suoni della lingua, in particolare fare una spiegazione dettagliata delle vocali arabe. L’arabo essendo una lingua che appartiene al gruppo delle lingue semitiche, perciò l’alfabeto è ricco di consonanti e povero di vocali. I vocali in arabo hanno il ruolo essenziale nella scrittura e perfezionano il suono per la pronuncia. La seconda parte parlerà del duale in arabo, in particolare come le vocali possono influenzare il sistema duale arabo.
