In recent years, the presence of plants exhibiting symptoms of sudden death, wilting of leaves and shoots, dieback of branches and limbs, development of epicormic shoots, and cankers with brownish exudates at the collar and roots has been observed. Given the limited information on the etiology of these emerging pathosystems and the high ecological and landscape value of Alpine habitats, a study was conducted across 10 sites distributed in the Eastern Alps to isolate, identify, and characterize the pathogens involved.

Abstract
In recent years, the presence of plants exhibiting symptoms of sudden death, wilting of leaves and shoots, dieback of branches and limbs, development of epicormic shoots, and cankers with brownish exudates at the collar and roots has been observed. Given the limited information on the etiology of these emerging pathosystems and the high ecological and landscape value of Alpine habitats, a study was conducted across 10 sites distributed in the Eastern Alps to isolate, identify, and characterize the pathogens involved.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
