The thesis examines the concept of the minimum wage, analyzing its definitions, historical foundations, and implications in various global economies. Through a comparison of wage systems adopted in Italy, the United Kingdom, and Germany, it explores the advantages and challenges of the minimum wage in relation to collective bargaining models and legislative approaches. Drawing on data from the International Labour Organization and official international sources, the study presents an interdisciplinary analysis to assess the effects of the minimum wage on the labor market, social equity, and economic stability. The main objective is to provide an integrated perspective that considers the needs of workers and families in different contexts and offers new insights into international wage policy.
La tesi esamina il concetto di salario minimo, analizzandone definizioni, basi storiche e implicazioni in diverse economie globali. Attraverso un confronto tra sistemi salariali adottati in Italia, Regno Unito e Germania, vengono esplorati i vantaggi e le criticità del salario minimo rispetto ai modelli di contrattazione collettiva e ai metodi legislativi. Utilizzando dati dell'Organizzazione Internazionale del Lavoro e di fonti ufficiali internazionali, lo studio propone un'analisi interdisciplinare per valutare gli effetti del salario minimo sul mercato del lavoro, sull'equità sociale e sulla stabilità economica. L'obiettivo principale è fornire una visione integrata che contempli le necessità dei lavoratori e delle famiglie in contesti diversi e offra nuove prospettive sulle politiche salariali internazionali.
