Un discorso per i defunti nel corpus di Efrem Greco e di Anastasio Sinaita

Among the texts attributed to Anastasius Sinaites in the Patrologia Graeca, there is a homily for the deceased, which is also present in the Greek corpus of Ephrem the Syrian. The first part of the thesis is dedicated to the manuscript tradition of this homily: the first chapter deals with attribution issues and distinguishes two (or three?) redactions in which the text is transmitted; the second contains an initial recensio of the witnesses and the catalogue of the examined manuscripts. The third chapter offers the Greek text of the homily as attested by an ancient manuscript, accompanied by an Italian translation and a commentary dedicated to the most significant themes addressed by the author and to the linguistic and rhetorical analysis.

Tra i testi attribuiti ad Anastasio Sinaita nella Patrologia Graeca compare un'omelia per i defunti, che tuttavia è presente anche nel corpus greco di Efrem il Siro. La prima parte della tesi è dedicata alla tradizione manoscritta di questa omelia: il primo capitolo tratta di questioni di attribuzione e distingue due (o tre?) redazioni in cui il testo è tramandato; il secondo contiene una prima recensio dei testimoni e le schedatura dei manoscritti esaminati. Il terzo capitolo offre il testo greco dell'omelia nella facies testuale testimoniata da un codice antico, accompagnato dalla traduzione in italiano e da un commento dedicato ai temi più significativi affrontati dall’autore e all’analisi linguistica e retorica.
