A growing body of educational research has sprouted the idea that children are active learners from a very young age. The current project primarily investigates the nature of active learning strategies in children and traces the contributing factors of active learning competence. The study uses an experimental research design and includes 8- to 11-year-old children from India and 5- to 13-year-old children from Canada. The active learning and contributing factors were assessed using a set of experimental tasks. Descriptive statistical method through mean analysis was adopted to measure and compare the active learning competence between the Indian and Canadian population. Furthermore, inferential statistics through regression analysis was used to determine the said contributing factors is a significant predictor of active learning. Comparatively, the Indian participants have performed better in all the conditions than the Canadian participants. We can also gauge that there is an improvement in performance with age especially among the Indian participants. According to the regression values, the contributing factors such as intelligence scores, intellectual humility, creativity and motivation are associated with children’s active learning abilities in all the tasks.

Abstract
According to the regression values, the contributing factors such as intelligence scores, intellectual humility, creativity and motivation are associated with children’s active learning abilities in all the tasks.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
