This thesis explores the phenomenon of voluntary childlessness (childfree) through a multidimensional analysis that integrates sociodemographic aspects and personality traits. The study is based on data collected through the ChildZero project, an experimental survey conducted in Italy on a large sample of adults aged between 30 and 45. Using psychometric instruments and the anchoring vignette methodology, the research examines subjective thresholds of acceptability regarding the conditions for parenthood of the couple described in the anchoring vignette. The statistical analysis includes logistic regression models to evaluate the association between personality traits and the perceived propensity for parenthood. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the individual motivations underlying the decision not to have children.

Abstract
The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the individual motivations underlying the decision not to have children.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
