LA VOCE DELLA COMUNITÀ: MAPPATURA DEI SERVIZI E RICERCA PARTECIPATIVA CON PERSONE TRANSGENDER E GENDER DIVERSE A PADOVA

This thesis project aims to explore the role of "safe" spaces in the city of Padua in promoting the psychological well-being and empowerment of transgender and gender diverse (TGD) individuals. Through a participatory research approach that directly involves TGD people in the co-construction of knowledge, the study seeks to map spaces that are meaningful to the community, assessing their accessibility and perceived value. The multi-method research design combines qualitative tools (interviews and community maps) and quantitative instruments (pre- and post-intervention questionnaires), with the goal of investigating how active involvement in the research process can positively influence participants' sense of community belonging and empowerment, and thus their overall well-being. Finally, the project aims to develop a service evaluation grid and an interactive map to benefit the community, promoting practical tools for orientation, visibility, and inclusion.

Il presente progetto di tesi si propone di esplorare il ruolo dei luoghi identificati come "safe" nella città di Padova nel promuovere il benessere psicologico e l'empowerment delle persone transgender e gender diverse (TGD). Attraverso un approccio partecipativo alla ricerca, che coinvolge direttamente le persone TGD nella co-costruzione del sapere, lo studio mira a mappare i luoghi significativi per la comunità, valutandone l’accessibilità e il valore percepito. Il disegno di ricerca multimetodo integra strumenti qualitativi (interviste e mappe comunitarie) e quantitativi (questionari pre e post intervento), con l’obiettivo di indagare come il coinvolgimento attivo nel processo di ricerca possa influenzare positivamente il senso di appartenenza alla comunità e il senso di empowerment dei partecipanti, dunque il loro benessere generale. Il progetto intende infine sviluppare una griglia di valutazione dei servizi e una mappa interattiva a beneficio della comunità, promuovendo strumenti concreti di orientamento, visibilità e inclusione.
